About AIMEX

Promoting Australian marine capability to the world

Established in 1998, AIMEX develops and promotes Australia’s international competitiveness in the marine sector. It represents some of Australia’s most successful international brands, along with emerging companies showcasing innovation and technological development.

AIMEX is a national not-for-profit organisation governed by a board of directors elected by its members, working with Austrade and state and local government to support the marine export industry.

ASMEX, the flagship conference for the superyacht, commercial and marine export sectors, has run since 2011 and is held on the Gold Coast ahead of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Celebrating the industry’s best

The 2026 Awards were presented at a Gala Dinner at The Langham Gold Coast on 19 May 2026, with 203 guests from across Australia and overseas. Savwinch was named Exporter of the Year and Topargee RV, Caravan & Marine Accessories was named Junior Exporter of the Year.

The Marine Industry Apprentice of the Year travels to METSTRADE in Amsterdam with the Australian delegation.
