AIMEX member SOS Marine Australia is highlighting the SOS Dan Buoy, a proven man-overboard safety and recovery system built for rapid deployment, flotation and visibility when every second matters.
When a person goes overboard, every second matters.
SOS Marine Australia is highlighting the SOS Dan Buoy, a proven man-overboard (MOB) safety and recovery system designed to provide rapid deployment, flotation and unparalleled visibility during critical rescue operations.
Visible from up to 1,700 metres
Designed to help crews locate and maintain visual contact with a person in the water, especially at night in demanding conditions, the SOS Dan Buoy provides a dedicated recovery point and a highly visible reference that can be seen from up to 1,700 metres at sea level.
A water activated PFD light that sits on top of the bouncy tube provides an excellent visual reference point. Tested in force 10 violent gale force winds, this product excels due to its 4kg ballast that creates a waving effect, never laying vertical.

Featuring patented design elements and suitable for saltwater and freshwater environments, the SOS Dan Buoy is designed for a broad range of marine applications, including commercial shipping, naval and government vessels, passenger ferries, offshore operations, workboats and recreational craft.
The system complements existing onboard emergency and recovery procedures, providing an additional layer of protection when time is critical.
