- Director, AIMEX Board (Rivergate Marina and Shipyard)
Tom is a director of ADCO Constructions, one of Australia’s largest privately-owned construction companies, where he commenced working in 2011 and is now recognised as an integral part of the business, providing valuable leadership and guidance. ADCO is a multi-billion dollar family business that was established over 50 years ago with a portfolio of over 4,000 award-winning projects and the capability to deliver complex projects in excess of $350m, and Tom’s focus is on providing strong connections between ADCO’s clients, people, vision and values.
Tom is also involved in three other family businesses. He is a director of Rivergate Marina & Shipyard. Based in a prime position in the 2032 Olympic city of Brisbane, Rivergate Marina & Shipyard is the product of the vision, investment and belief of a family for whom close ties and a strong work ethic in business and dealings with the community underpin every interaction. This multi-award-winning, internationally recognised business, established in 2006, has 525 registered contractors, a 105-berth marina, state-of-the-art lifting facilities, 20 onsite specialised trades, and a management team with over 200 years of combined experience. Tom’s in-depth knowledge of superyachts worldwide is invaluable to this business.
He is a Director of Tropical Fruit World, a 300-acre farm and award-winning tourist destination that has been in his family for 53 years. Tropical Fruit World is a biologically sustainable production of over 550 types of exotic and tropical fruits that has been inspiring a connection to nature in the Northern Rivers.
Tom is also a Director of Arklife, an operational, people-focused business specialising in the development, ownership and operation of institutional-grade build-to-rent residential assets. With 720 units under management, Arklife’s mission goes beyond simply providing a place to live: it strives to elevate the overall living and rental experience for its residents by delivering environments that foster connection, growth and wellbeing.
In furtherance of Tom’s commitment to community and industry, he is a director and the chair of the Brinsmead Hill Family Foundation, which focuses on mental health, education and community support, and is a Board Member of the Australian International Marine Export Group. Tom is also on the Australian Olympic and Paralympic Team Appeal Committee Queensland.
