Kathleen Ferguson is the Managing Director of Trinity Fire Services, a specialist fire protection and safety company servicing the marine, defence and commercial sectors across Northern Australia. Established in Cairns in 1987, Trinity Fire Services has built a strong reputation for technical expertise, reliability and the delivery of fire safety solutions in some of Australia’s most remote and challenging environments.
Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Business Management, majoring in Marketing and Business Communication, together with fire equipment service qualifications and extensive knowledge of marine fire safety, compliance and regulatory requirements. Her experience encompasses strategic planning, business development and operational management, with a particular focus on strengthening regional capability, developing local expertise and building long-term industry partnerships.
Kathleen has been a member of the Superyacht Group Great Barrier Reef Executive Committee since 2006 and currently serves as Chair. Through this role, she represents the marine service sector and works closely with industry, government and regional stakeholders to support the continued development of the superyacht industry across the Great Barrier Reef and Northern Australia.
With a long-standing connection to the marine industry, Kathleen is passionate about promoting the capabilities of regional businesses, encouraging industry collaboration and ensuring visiting vessels have access to the high-quality services, infrastructure and expertise available throughout the region. She is committed to strengthening the Great Barrier Reef’s position as a world-class superyacht destination while supporting sustainable growth and opportunities for local businesses and communities.
