Zac Bailey is a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of Australia and a former superyacht captain with thirty years of global vessel command. As Principal of Indo-Pacific Solutions, an Australia-based incorporated legal practice, he leads its Legal, Consultancy, Compliance and Intelligence divisions, advising superyacht owners, shipping operators, corporate clients, family offices and maritime professionals across the Indo-Pacific and beyond.
Drawing on decades of operational command and crisis management, Zac gives practical legal and strategic advice grounded in how the maritime sector actually operates. His practice spans maritime disputes, contract and charter law, international trade, risk management and regulatory compliance, areas closely aligned with the export and global growth agenda of Australia’s marine industry.
Zac holds a Juris Doctor, Master of International Law and a Master of Policing, Intelligence and Counterterrorism. His background includes long-term advisory roles to European Heads of State, ultra-high-net-worth families and international corporate stakeholders, giving him a practised understanding of cross-border governance, discretion and complex stakeholder management. Through Indo-Pacific Solutions he has built extensive international connections across the shipping, superyacht and corporate sectors, connecting Australian capability with global opportunity.
