Developing Australia as a superyacht destination
Superyacht Australia is the peak body for the Australian superyacht industry. It develops and promotes Australia as a unique cruising destination and reinforces to the world the international competitiveness of the Australian refit and repair sector.
Its key focus is to develop and promote the Asia Pacific’s international competitiveness as a destination for the global superyacht fleet, to increase superyacht visits to Australia, and to promote the capabilities of the Australian industry to service visiting vessels.

What Superyacht Australia does
Bringing the global fleet to Australia and the Asia Pacific
Events and shows
The Sydney Charter Show and the Australian Superyacht Conference first met in Sydney in February 2026, alongside Rendezvous events for crew and industry in Tahiti and Fiji.
International promotion
Superyacht Australia hosts the South Pacific Stand at the Monaco Yacht Show and the South Pacific Pavilion at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, and works with the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association to promote the region.
Charter and regulation
Foreign-flagged superyachts can charter in Australian waters, and Superyacht Australia trains and endorses the vessel agents and charter brokers who arrange it.
Crew and careers
Information for new crew joining the industry and visa requirements for existing crew, and the Superyacht Crew Scholarship launched in 2025.
Sydney Charter Show
Australia’s superyacht charter showcase
The inaugural Sydney Charter Show was held at Jones Bay Superyacht Marina on 22 and 23 February 2026, presented with Platinum Partners Ankor Software, Echo Yachts and Jones Bay Superyacht Marina. It grew from five years of the Superyacht Australia Soirée.
The Australian Superyacht Conference debuted in Sydney on 24 February 2026, with a sold-out 100 delegates.
Regional cluster
Superyacht Group Great Barrier Reef
Superyacht Australia’s regional cluster has promoted the Great Barrier Reef, from Gladstone, the Whitsundays and Cairns to the Torres Strait, as a premier superyacht destination for 25 years.
